  • Natural looking Gravel
  • Small Bio Filter - Fluval 101 or Duetto DJ-100
  • Aquarium Systems - Micro-Jet 320 - Miniature Pump for Fountain
  • Carbon for filter - Black Diamond
  • Live - Amazon Sword Plant
  • 1 24" Strip Light w/ZooMed Aqua Bulbs
  • Amquel and NovAqua Water Treatments

Getting Started...
  • Set up conditions for breeding!
  • 1 Male Killi - Males are identified by brighter colors
  • My Male Killi - Blue Panchax or Applochelius Lineatus
  • 1 Female Killi - Females not as colorful - mine are gold
  • My Female Killi - Golden Killi
  • My Killis bred every 28 days.
  • Female lays eggs
  • Eggs will attach to undersides of Amazon leaves
  • Within a few days, tadpole size fish appear
  • Baby fish will stay near Amazon leaves for shelter
  • Parents will eat babies, so collect them fast!

Put the fish in!
  • Rinse and place gravel in bottom of tank
  • Plant the Amazon Sword toward the back wall (see picture)
  • Install Bio-Filter near the front (see picture)
  • Place mini-pump in top left corner of tank
  • Arrange rocks around pump to create waterfall
  • Add water / include water treatments
  • Allow tank to run for 48 hours before adding fish
